Meeting Spot for Club Members:
Transportation is scheduled to be the Los Angeles Metro leaving around 7 am from the Norwalk Station in Norwalk, CA. The Norwalk Station is located at the interchange of the 605 and the 105, parking is free or you can just have someone drop you off. I would suggest buying a day pass, they are available for $6.oo, and they can be purchased at the station in the kiosk it will also be used to board the 550. DO NOT BOARD THE TRAIN W/o A PASS! We will be catching the green line to the 550 express bus all the way to the walk. THERE IS A CHANCE THAT THE BUS WILL HAVE A ROUTE CHANGE DUE TO THE AIDS WALK, if this happens we will have to carpool. I will update if this happens, we will also need to know who will be willing to drive.
Preparation:
Remember guys, we will be walking 6.2 miles so try and prepare your body sometime before if your body isn't used to walking this far. Drink plenty of water days before the walk to make sure your body will be well hydrated. Don't forget to stretch before the walk and wear comfortable walking shoes. You don't have to go out and buy some fancy schmancy walking shoes but also DO NOT come in your flip-flops or your ballerina flats. Again, keep in mind we will be walking for 2-3 hours straight. There will be stations during the walk that provide water and knick knacks so also bring a backpack so you won't have to waste plastic bags.
IF THERE ARE ANY CHANGES TO OUR PLANS WE WILL MAKE SURE TO UPDATE THE BLOG OR OUR FACEBOOK PAGE SO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR UPDATES. FOR ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THE AIDS WALK VISIT THE AIDS WALK FAQ'S OR YOU CAN MESSAGE OR COMMENT THIS BLOG OR OUR FACEBOOK PAGE.

Club Members Receive Awards & Certificates
On May 7th, club members Iliana, Karen (Mimi), Deanna, and Mia were recognized for their academic achievement and their commitment to club activities that enhance their educational/ personal goals. They are focused on their education, and their commitment to the campus and to the well being of other students are noticed and appreciated. We are proud to say that they are library club members!
As a side note, do you happen to know who is the gentleman next to me? I was honored to share the table with him. His name is Wilford Michael and our lovely library was named after him! He was the president of our college for 13 years and he retired in 1986. He was delighted to hear about our library club and how determined you all are.
Let's keep you the good work, library club family!

Feb 25 - Club Meeting
Our club had a few new members today, which is good news. It looks like some of the activities we had planned are going to start soon, so if you signed up for any of them, make sure to contact the person leading that activity. If you don't remember who is leading what activity, always remember you can always contact me. The officers leading the activities are highly motivated about what they're doing, that's a GREAT thing.
See you all next meeting

Ready, Set, GO!
Hi People,
Our first meeting was great, except I forgot to eat cake.. and it was right in front of me the entire time. Anyways, we are now one quarter into the semester, currently leading about five continuous activities. If you have any ideas on improving our current activities or have a new activity in mind, share them in our next meeting. Also, start thinking of field trips we can go to, let's try to go to at least two field trips before this semester ends. We have a total of five official club meetings remaining this semester. Next meeting we will mainly discuss about our present activities, new activities, and field trips.
See you all soon.
